An ingenious rise and fall mechanism allows the distance between the ceiling canopy and the body to be adjusted between min. 105 cm and max. 195 cm. To push the body up or down, you simply have to press the two small cylinders, which are located on the steel cables, with two fingers and set the desired height. The flexibility of the LED pendant lamp can be fully exploited by connecting a leading or trailing edge dimmer to the lamp. Because the integrated LEDs are seamlessly dimmable via the house wiring, if desired. Also, the colour rendering index (CRI 90) ensures brilliant colour rendering, which is well above the average. The individuality of this lamp is demonstrated by its two-level look, which was created from the combination of oak wood beam and angular aluminium tube. The wood was left in its natural state to preserve its characteristic grain. The wood has only been treated with matt lacquer to better highlight and seal the oiled wood optic. Particularly interesting is the rusty surface of the aluminium tube. This is real rust, which is created with a special process. An activator is applied to the metal, which in conjunction with a structural colour, accelerates the oxidation of the aluminium. To fix the rust, the surface was finally sealed with a clear coat. All of the described production steps are completed mostly by hand. Elna differs in many ways from standard hanging lamps, which can be found in the hardware stores and furniture stores.
