Louis Poulsen Enigma Black 425 diameter 42.5 cm

Enigma Black 425 hanging light with a sophisticated silhouette The Enigma Black 425 hanging light – a design by the Japanese designer Shoichi Uchiyama – thrives on the contrasts between the circular, light-filtering levels that break through the darkness and the simple shapes that form a sophisticated silhouette. Enigma Black emits a soft light directly downwards over a wide area and thus provides a very homogeneous illumination of a table, for example. Can also be used for general lighting in a room. The matt surface of the circular lampshade elements diffuses the light. The bottom is glossy and provides an optimal reflection. Shoichi Uchiyama is primarily dedicated to designing lights with an indirect, glare-free light. He has been awarded the iF Award in Germany and the Good Design Award in Japan for his designs. The Danish lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen – founded in 1874 – has adopted the maxim “form follows function”, which forms the basis for Scandinavian design principles. His product range includes designer products by well-known contemporary and deceased designers, architects and other artists, such as Poul Henningsen, Arne Jacobsen, Louise Campbell, Alfred Homann, Oki Sato and Verner Panton. Energy efficiency class:A++
