Louis Poulsen Doo-Wop – hanging lamp brass

Doo-Wop designer hanging light – a new edition of the popular Navy pendant light This hanging light has already written its name in the history books: it was first created in the 1950s by the Louis Poulsen company in conjunction with the building association of the Danish Navy and was used in its utility buildings, such as offices and canteens. Hence its name the Navy pendant light. The inner lampshade – a simple white cone – bundles the light downwards; whilst the outer reflective part, which forms the actual lampshade, emits soft light upwards and downwards to create a very cosy ambience. The popular light source was manufactured until the 1980s and then brought back to life in 2012 with a new edition of the classic and one that is sure to enjoy equal praise thanks to its visual, design and technical benefits. The Doo-Wop lampshades are still created by hand to this day. They continue to be fitted with a finely rolled edge. Please note that the brass surface is untreated. As a result, the lampshade will acquire a patina over time. Energy efficiency class:A++
